Comparable Sets

☼ Comparable Sets : Two sets A and B are said to be comparable if either A $\subseteq$ B or B $\subseteq$ A.

e.g. (i) If A = {a}, and B = {a, b, c }, then A and B are comparable. ( $\therefore$ A $\subseteq$ B)

(ii) If A = {1}, and B = {a, b, c }, then A and B are not comparable.

( $\therefore$ A $\nsubseteq$ B and B $\nsubseteq$ A )
