Importance of a, b, c

☼ Importance of a, b, c :– In quadratic equation, ax² + bx + c = 0,

if a, b, c $\in$ Q ( Rational Numbers), then

(i) b = 0 $\large \Rightarrow$ The roots are opposite numbers ( additive inverse ) of each other.

(ii) a = c $\large \Rightarrow$ The roots are reciprocal ( or multiplicative inverse or simply an inverse ) of each other.
