☼ As if : – When any imaginary or unrealistic matter is described in clause begins with as if , then in that clause, ‘were’ instead of ‘was’ is used.
As if is used to answer the question ‘how’.
↦ Examples :–
(1) He talks as if he were mad.
(2) She treated me as if she were my mother.

(2) I performed tricks as if I _____ a magician.
(3) He is acting like Devang, a film star.
