■ Rule : Divide the given decimal fraction without the decimal point by the given counting number. Now, in the quotient, put the decimal point to give as many paces of decimal as are there in the dividend.
e.g. Evaluate :
(i) 0.56 7 (ii) .0208 13 (iii) .000272 16
Soln.
(i) = 9. So, = .08
(ii) = 16. So, = .0016
(iii) = 17. So, = .000017
