☼ Get : –   When we request or inspire some one to do certain work, then causal verb ‘get’ is used.

Construction of  a sentence : –

Get + doer of  the action + verb form with ‘to’ (Active)

Get + object + p.p. (Passive)

↦ Examples :–

(1) I shall get it done tomorrow.

(2) My mother will get the optician to test her eyesight tomorrow.

↦ Exercise :–

(1) Please ……. your shoes …….. immediately.                      (get + polish)

(2) I …….. my principal ­……. a letter of  recommendation.     (get + write)

(3) My father …….. our family doctor ……… his B.P. every week.

(get + measure)

(4) Please tell me by whom you ……. all the letters …… yesterday.

(get + post)

(5) Why are you delaying in  …….. this parcel …….. ?            (get + blind)
