☼ H.C.F. & L.C.M. of Fractions :

(i) H.C.F. of given fractions = $\frac{H.C.F. -of - Numerators}{L.C.M. - of - Denominators}$

(ii) L.C.M. of given fractions = $\frac{L.C.M. - of - Numerators}{H.C.F.- of -Denominators}$

e.g. Find the H.C.F. and L.C.M. of $\frac{2}{3},\frac{8}{9},\frac{16}{81}$ and $\frac{10}{27}$ .

Soln. H.C.F. of given fractions = $\frac{H.C.F. -of - 2,8,16,10 }{L.C.M.-of - 3,9,81,27}$ = $\frac{2}{81}$

L.C.M. of given fractions = $\frac{L.C.M. -of - 2,8,16,10}{H.C.F.-of - 3,9,81,27}$ = $\frac{80}{3}$
