☼ To change passive voice to active voice :–
How to know that the given sentence is in active voice or passive voice.
1) For passive voice the verb 3rd form is always used.
2) The verb used before past participle should always be from the following is, am, are, was, were, will be, shall be, been, be.
3) Some times the subject (agent) is not given in the sentence. So we have to add while changing the sentence into active voice.
e.g. My purse was stolen.
Some body stole my purse.
Examples :–
1) A poem is written by her. (passive)
She writes a poem. (active)
2) A jug was broken by Mohan. (passive)
Mohan broke a jug. (active)
3) Sam has been punished by her mother. (passive)
Sam’s mother has punished him. (active)
4) The letters have been written by them. (passive)
They have written the letter. (active)
5) Will a song be sung by Rita ? (passive)
Will Rita sing a song ? (active)
